VENEZUELA’S OWN E.J. VISO ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH SAVOY CHOCOLATE OF VENEZUELA

Indianapolis, IN (May 24, 2008) – On the eve of the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500, HVM Racing and E.J. Viso is proud to announce a new partnership with Savoy Chocolate of Venezuela beginning with tomorrow’s race and continuing for the duration of the 2008 IndyCar Series season.

savoy logo.JPGSavoy Chocolate is the leading brand of chocolate in Venezuela, where E.J. is from, and they will launch a new campaign beginning Sunday with the slogan, “Savoy Brings a Taste of Venezuela to IndyCar with E.J. Viso.” This partnership begins at the 500, but is just the beginning of another successful campaign involving E.J. and his HVM Racing team.

E.J. will start 26th for his first Indianapolis 500 tomorrow which will be only his third start on an oval in his career. He currently sits 13th in Championship Standings and 5th in the highly competitive Rookie of the Year title chase.

HVM is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. In its 7 years of competition in the Champ Car World Series, the team has earned 6 wins, 2 pole positions, and an additional 16 podiums since 2001 when Keith Wiggins took over Bettenhausen Motorsports. They finished 4th and 3rd, respectively, in Championship standings in 2006 and 2007 and drivers Mario Dominguez and Robert Doornbos were named Rookie of the Year in 2002 and 2007, respectively.
