HVM Racing Ready for Richmond Debut
Team Sees Continued Improvement on Ovals

Richmond VA (June 26, 2008) - This weekend, HVM Racing will make its racing debut at the .075-mile Richmond (Va.) International Raceway during Saturday night’s SunTrust IndyCar Challenge 300.  It will also mark the first visit to the track for driver E.J. Viso.  The team, however, has accumulated three consecutive strong finishes heading into Saturday night’s 300-lap event.

Comments from team owner Keith Wiggins heading into this weekend’s events:

“We are confident that we’re only going to get better on ovals.  So far, we have been pretty competitive on them all season.  Michael (Cannon, Lead Engineer) has prepared very fast cars for E.J. every time out.  We continue to improve and that’s the goal.
“Iowa, Milwaukee, and Texas before that, the last three weekends we’ve shown some strength on the ovals.  We have room for improvements, but I think we’ve done a good job of giving E.J. the equipment to race with the others.
“E.J. and the team will be put to the test again this weekend. Richmond is another new challenge.  We know it’s a demanding race, but we are prepared.  There is no doubt we’re anxious to get going.”

Comments from HVM Racing driver E.J. Viso heading into this weekend’s events:

“It’s another oval for us.  It’s going to be our fifth consecutive race on an oval track and the team has been getting stronger and stronger.  We have passed a lot of cars and proven we can race to the front in different situations.  That gives us a lot of confidence for this weekend.
“We’re going to concentrate on being prepared for Saturday night.  It’s a track that we want to be very comfortable with.  We know it’s going to be fast and a lot of things can happen in a 300-lap race here.  Patience will be important. You have to be there at the end.  We want to make sure we are in a good position for late in the race.”

Saturday night’s race will be televised live on ESPN at 8:00 (ET).
